Women in Cyber 2024: Redefining And Safeguarding Our Future

It’s no secret that women are severely underrepresented in the technology sector. As of 2023, women only make up 20-25% of the cybersecurity field globally. However, with the rise of cybersecurity threats, the industry is booming with high demand for workers. In fact, cybersecurity is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, and there is now more opportunity for women to break into the cybersecurity field than ever before.

The Female Quotient and Deloitte have collaborated together to change the equation and begin to close the workforce gap by bringing more women into cybersecurity.

WOMEN IN CYBERSECURITY 2024

In this third-annual series, The Female Quotient and Deloitte are raising the visibility of 30+ top women leaders in cybersecurity by showcasing their achievements and advice to the next generation. We aim not only to honor these exceptional leaders, but also to foster recognition that cybersecurity is a field open to women and worthy of a fulfilling career. These women’s careers have tremendous impact, as they safeguard the future for us all.

RESEARCH PREVIEW

The Female Quotient and Deloitte sought to understand the factors that discourage women from entering the field, and assess how to make the industry aspirational for more women. Here is a sneak peek at our results, with more in-depth insights coming in September.

Deloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL), its global network of member firms, and their related entities (collectively, the “Deloitte organization”). DTTL (also referred to as “Deloitte Global”) and each of its member firms and related entities are legally separate and independent entities, which cannot obligate or bind each other in respect of third parties. DTTL and each DTTL member firm and related entity is liable only for its own acts and omissions, and not those of each other. DTTL does not provide services to clients.
